Compulynx receives recognition for innovative IT application for NGOs

Leading information technology firm, Compulynx has been recognized for its innovative IT application that helps Non- Governmental Organizations (NGO’S) disburse benefits to rightful beneficiaries.

The firm has been awarded in the just concluded Kenya ICT awards organized by the Computer Society of Kenya.

The firm developed a multi-application multi-interface Bi-ometric based smartcard that has helped NGO’s in the country to disburse cash and non-cash benefits to beneficiaries.

The application captures the Bi-ometric and photo image of beneficiaries. And with disbursement centres equipped with POS machines, beneficiaries are verified by bi-ometric and smart card before cash or any other non-cash benefits are disbursed.

An elated Compulynx CEO, Mr Sailesh Savani said that the firm recognised the need to offer a solution that gives visibility and accountability of disbursements to NGO’s.

“With our solution, NGOs are no longer faced with the challenge of ensuring that the right amount and quantum of benefits are disbursed and distributed to the rightful beneficiaries” said Mr Savani.

Mr Savani added that the firm appreciates the huge responsibility NGO’s have in developing countries. Hence the rationale for coming up with the IT application that uploads all transactions via GPRS for reporting.
